December 17- Winter Concert Rehearsal- 4:00 PM-5:00 PM
December 18- Winter Concert- 6:30-7:00 PM
December 19- Spirit Night at Casa Del Bro
Beginning Band Winter Concert
Tuesday December 17th - Rehearsal in the Pearson Band Hall
3:45pm End of 8th period. All Beginning Band students go to the band hall, find
their seats, and set up their instrument.
4:00pm Rehearsal Begins. This rehearsal is required and graded.
5:00pm Rehearsal Ends. All students must be picked up at 5:00pm.
Wednesday December 18th - Winter Concert in the Pearson Middle School Cafeteria
5:45pm Percussion Students arrive and begin moving equipment to the cafeteria.
6:00pm Woodwind and Brass Students arrive to begin warm-up in the Band Hall.
Parents may go to the cafeteria and wait for the concert to begin.
6:30pm Concert Begins:

Beginning Band Performance
7:00pm Approximate ending time. All band students will help bring instruments
and equipment to the band hall before being dismissed.
Bring: Instrument (and all the supplies needed to play it) and band binder.
Wear: Band t-shirt and pants.
The rehearsal and performance are part of the Beginner Band curriculum, therefore attendance and participation is required and graded. If any conflicts arise, please contact Mr. Jenson or Ms. Jobe ASAP.
Casa del Bro Spirit Night- December 19th
Join us at Casa del Bro on December 19th at any point from open to close! Mention that you are with the Pearson Band and we will receive a portion of the proceeds.
Practice Journals
All Beginning Band students should be taking their instrument home and practicing daily. During their practice time, students should play and reinforce concepts being taught in class and work on any material they are struggling to play. A daily practice habit is essential to becoming a great musician! Please help your student to build this habit by encouraging (and sometimes telling) them to practice every day.
All members of the Pearson Band have been assigned a practice journal to track their practicing and to help them develop practice habits that will lead them to success in band. This is a graded assignment due every Monday and must be signed by a parent to be considered complete. The rubric and expectations for the practice journal can be found here.
